Waterfall abseiling is one of the popular activities among adventure enthusiasts around the world. Even though Sri Lanka is not a top-notch adventure holiday destination, there are many interesting tourist places in Sri Lanka that can be used for an unforgettable adventure experience. Bandarawela, Nuwara Eliya, Sigiriya, and Kitulgala are some of the places, where you can do adventure activities. However, waterfall abseiling can be done only in Kitulgala. There are many waterfalls to be found in the upcountry holiday destinations like Nuwara Eliya, Bandarawela, Ella etc but waterfall abseiling is offered as an adventure sport only in Kitulgala.

By far, Kitulgala is the most popular adventure playground in the island and offered many adrenaline-pumping activities such as white water rafting, mountain climbing, rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, trekking, kayaking and waterfall abseiling. The tourist traffic, who is fascinated with adventure sport, is head on to Kitulgala in order to spoil themselves with adventure activities.
